Analysis of the Interaction Mechanism and Functional Characterisation of Quercetin and Ovalbumin

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
To investigate the binding mechanism of the interaction between the natural bacteriostatic flavonoid polyphenol quercetin (Q) and ovalbumin (OVA) as well as the changes in the structure and bacteriostatic activity.

miR-30a-3p participates in the development of asthma by targeting CCR3

open access: yesOpen Medicine, 2020
This study aimed to investigate the role and relevant mechanism of miR-30a-3p action in asthma. The results of this study revealed that the expression levels of miR-30a-3p were significantly decreased in the peripheral blood of asthmatic patients.

TL1A/DR3 Axis, A Key Target of TNF-a, Augments the Epithelial–Mesenchymal Transformation of Epithelial Cells in OVA-Induced Asthma

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2022
Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-like cytokine 1A (TL1A), a member of the TNF family, exists in the form of membrane-bound (mTL1A) and soluble protein (sTL1A).

Ovalbumin subfractionation and individual difference in ovalbumin microheterogeneity.

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1981
Purified ovalbumin from hen egg white was fractionated by concanavalin A (Con A)/Sepharose chromatography. Four major fractions were separated, one unadsorbed fraction OA, followed by a minor fraction OA', and three adsorbed fractions OB, OC, and OD. The recovery was over 90%. Fractional ratios (OA:OB:OC:OD) were 16:6:37:41.

Caffeic Acid-PLGA Conjugate to Design Protein Drug Delivery Systems Stable to Irradiation

open access: yesJournal of Functional Biomaterials, 2015
This work reports the feasibility of caffeic acid grafted PLGA (g-CA-PLGA) to design biodegradable sterile microspheres for the delivery of proteins. Ovalbumin (OVA) was selected as model compound because of its sensitiveness of γ-radiation. The adopted

Conformational Changes Involved in the Switch from Ovalbumin to S-Ovalbumin

open access: yesZeitschrift für Naturforschung C, 1996
Abstract For the first time a comparative study on conformational differences between native oval buminand its heat-stable form, called S-ovalbumin. using small angle x-ray scattering, is reported. To detect a different pathway in the folding mechanism of the two proteins, scattering measurements have been performed on ovalbumin and S ...

1H NMR Study of the In Vitro Digestion of Highly Oxidized Soybean Oil and the Effect of the Presence of Ovalbumin

open access: yesFoods, 2021
Oxidized lipids containing a wide variety of potentially toxic compounds can be ingested through diet. However, their transformations during digestion are little known, despite this knowledge being essential in understanding their impact on human health.
