Overcurrent relay setting by using adaptive technique [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
As cost-effective protection relays, Overcurrent (OC) relays are used as the main protection equipment in distribution grids and backup protection for distance relays in transmission and sub-transmission lines. Basically, two parameters are considered as

Coordination of dual setting overcurrent relays in microgrid with optimally determined relay characteristics for dual operating modes

open access: yesProtection and Control of Modern Power Systems, 2022
Fault current magnitude in a microgrid depends upon its mode of operation, namely, grid-connected mode or islanded mode. Depending on the type of fault in a given mode, separate protection schemes are generally employed.

Understanding the Autonomous Electric Vehicle Cyber Threat Landscape: A Focus on Infrastructure, Threats and Ontology‐Based Modelling

open access: yesEnergy Internet, Volume 3, Issue 1, Page 39-51, April 2026.
ABSTRACT The development of autonomous electric vehicles (AEVs) represents the convergence of two simultaneous automotive revolutions: electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous vehicles (AVs). AVs require sensors, decision‐making systems and actuation systems to achieve autonomous driving, whereas EVs require intelligent management and real‐time ...

Busbar Fault Direction Identification Using Sequences of Displacement Vectors

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
In this paper, a novel busbar fault direction identification scheme is presented. The proposed scheme is based on sequences of displacement vectors. The proposed algorithm is fast and simple enough to be embedded in a differential relay to assist the percentage‐restraint differential algorithm.
