Overvoltages on transmission lines
Electrical Engineering, 1934Observations of line-to-ground voltages have been made under routine operating conditions on an isolated neutral system, a Petersen coil system, 3 neutral resistance grounded systems, and 2 directly grounded systems. Results of these observations are given in this paper.

The Measurement of Overvoltage
Nature, 1923IN general, the term overvoltage refers to the difference between the potential required to discharge an ion at a particular electrode and the calculated reversible value, in the same electrolyte. Strictly speaking, therefore, overvoltage only exists while the current is flowing, and hence measurements should be made under these conditions.

THE ASDEX OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION SYSTEM
1981The ASDEX overvoltage protection system completes the favourable properties of the ASDEX coils and rectifiers. It uses properly matched standard elements and meets the requirements for operational and fault conditions in a very economic and reliable way.
