Amphiphilic Fluoro‐Functionalized Cellulosic Materials: Synthesis, Characterization, and Organic Dye Adsorption Properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
New amphiphilic fluoro‐functionalized cellulosic materials are being yielded through nucleophilic aromatic substitution. Covalent attachment of fluorinated moiety into biopolymers is being assured with full characterization. Fluoro‐functionalized materials are being incorporated in alginate beads to remove organic pollutants from wastewater ...

Preparation of crosslinked 1,2,4-oxadiazole polymer [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
New crosslinked 1,2,4-oxadiazole elastomers were prepared by thermally condensing a monomer having the formula H2N(HON)C-R-Q, wherein Q is a triazine ring-forming group such as nitrile or amidine or a mixture of such group with amidoxime, or a mixture of

Research progress on the synthesis and pharmacology of 1,3,4-oxadiazole and 1,2,4-oxadiazole derivatives: a mini review

open access: yesJournal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry, 2022
Oxadiazole is a five-membered heterocyclic compound containing two nitrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. The 1,3,4-oxadiazole and 1,2,4-oxadiazole have favourable physical, chemical, and pharmacokinetic properties, which significantly increase their pharmacological activity via hydrogen bond interactions with biomacromolecules.

Electrospun Nanofiber Platforms for Photodynamic Therapy: Role and Efficacy in Cancer, Antimicrobial, and Wound Healing Applications

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
Electrospun nanofibers provide a unique platform for photosensitizers, due to their large surface area and biocompatibility, improving both loading efficiency and controlled release. The photosensitizer‐modified nanofibers are activated upon light exposure, and produce reactive oxygen species to treat cancer, pathogen infections, and wounds.

Synthesis, characterization and comparative study of mesomorphic properties of some new compounds containing both 1,2,4- and 1,3,4-oxadiazole moieties linked in the same molecule [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
One new homologous series of compounds containing 1,2,4- and 1,3,4-oxadiazole rings in the same molecule was synthesized. 3-(4-Butoxyphenyl)-5-{4-[5-(4-alkoxyphenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl]phenyl}-1,2,4-oxadiazole (VII)1–8 were synthesized by several ...

Investigation of the printability of ethyl 2‐[4‐(1,3,4‐oxadiazol‐2(3H)‐thion‐5‐yl)phenylhydrazono]‐3‐oxobutyrate on coated and uncoated papers

open access: yesColoration Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract There is a growing demand in the printing industry for pigment‐based inks with excellent lightfastness and rub resistance qualities. In this work, a novel ink with the formulation ethyl 2‐[4‐(1,3,4‐oxadiazole‐2(3H)‐thione‐5‐yl)phenylhydrazono]‐3‐oxobutyrate (OXKT) was prepared as a pigment and its printability was investigated for use in ...
