2-Methylsulfanylbenzo[f]isoquinoline [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
S-Methylation of a 4-(naphth-2-yl)-β-thiolactam gives an intermediate 4-(naphth-2-yl) substituted 1-azetine which undergoes a [2+2] ring-opening followed by electrocyclic ring closure of the resulting 2-azadiene to give a benzo[f ...

2D-QSAR study of synthesized novel derivatives of 1,3,4- Oxadiazoles as anti-inflammatory activity

open access: yesBLDE University Journal of Health Sciences, 2020
Oxadiazole is a five-membered heterocyclic compound containing oxygen and two nitrogen atoms at C-1, C-3 and C-4 positions respectively. These derivatives are synthesized by both conventional as well as microwave-assisted.

Novel Oxadiazole‐Based Bioisostere of Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester: Synthesis, Anticancer Activity, and Inhibition of Lipoxygenase Product Biosynthesis

open access: yesDrug Development Research, Volume 86, Issue 3, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (1), a honeybee propolis component, possesses many bioactive properties, making it a useful scaffold for drug research. Further, CAPE (1) is a more effective inhibitor of the biosynthesis of 5‐lipoxygenase (5‐LO) products compared to Zileuton, the only clinically‐approved direct 5‐LO inhibitor.

Thermally Stimulated Luminescence and Current in new heterocyclic materials for Organic field transistors and organic light emitting diodes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
The present work is focused on theoretical and experimental study of localised levels in organic materials suitable for light-emitting devices and field effect transistors by means of thermal techniques. In our work we focused on low molecular compounds as well as on polymers, especially of two classes of materials: oxadiazoles and quinoxalines.

Therapeutic Potential of Translational Readthrough at Disease‐Associated Premature Termination Codons From Tumor Suppressor Genes

open access: yesIUBMB Life, Volume 77, Issue 5, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Tumor suppressor genes are frequently targeted by mutations introducing premature termination codons (PTC) in the protein coding sequence, both in sporadic cancers and in the germline of patients with cancer predisposition syndromes. These mutations have a high pathogenic impact since they generate C‐terminal truncated proteins with altered ...

Analysis of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates by matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry: An update for 2021–2022

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 44, Issue 3, Page 213-453, May/June 2025.
Abstract The use of matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry for the analysis of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates is a well‐established technique and this review is the 12th update of the original article published in 1999 and brings coverage of the literature to the end of 2022.
