Transnasal Oxygen Inhalation Therapy for Sudden Deafness.
(目的) 突発性難聴に対する高気圧酸素療法の有効性は以前より多数の報告がある。 しかし, 高気圧酸素療法は特別な装置が必要である。 本論文は, 突発性難聴に対し, 低圧酸素を鼻カヌラを用いて吸入させる方法でも同様の効果が得られるか否かを検討した。(方法) 1998年7月から1999年6月までに入院し点滴加療と同時に経鼻的酸素吸入を施行した突発性難聴患者18例を対象とした。 その18例と, それ以前の酸素吸入療法を加えなかった入院症例とを比較検討した。(結果) 酸素吸入療法の有効率は72.2%であり, 従来の治療法の有効率 (42.3%) よりも良好な傾向であった。
