Hyperviscous Diabetic Bone Marrow Niche Impairs BMSCs Osteogenesis via TRPV2‐Mediated Cytoskeletal‐Nuclear Mechanotransduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Diabetic bone marrow exhibits pathological ECM hyperviscosity that activates TRPV2‐mediated Ca2⁺ influx, leading to perinuclear F‐actin disassembly, nuclear deformation, and chromatin condensation. This cytoskeletal‐nuclear decoupling suppresses osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs.

Effect of oxygen supplement during targeted temperature management on acute lung injury in the early stage of traumatic hemorrhagic shock

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inflammation, 2020
Ideal concentrations of inhaled oxygen with regard to lung protection during early traumatic hemorrhagic shock (THS) remain unknown especially in the era of targeted temperature management (TTM). We speculated that a significant increase in oxygen supply

Inhalation of high-concentration hydrogen gas attenuates cognitive deficits in a rat model of asphyxia induced-cardiac arrest. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Cognitive deficits are a devastating neurological outcome seen in survivors of cardiac arrest. We previously reported water electrolysis derived 67% hydrogen gas inhalation has some beneficial effects on short-term outcomes in a rat model of global brain

Targeting NRP1 in Endothelial Cells Facilitates the Normalization of Scar Vessels and Prevents Fibrotic Scarring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Scars exhibit vascular abnormal alterations, including upregulated NRP1 expression in endothelial cells, increased vascular density and branching, compromised vessel wall integrity, and incomplete pericyte coverage. Therapeutic targeting of NRP1 through hydrogel spray delivery offers a promising approach to normalize aberrant vasculature and prevent ...

BASIC MECHANISM OF HYPERBARIC OXYGEN IN INFECTIOUS DISEASE

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Tropical and Infectious Disease, 2016
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is the inhalation of 100 percent oxygen inside a hyperbaric chamber that is pressurized to greater than 1 atmosphere (atm). HBOT causes both mechanical and physiologic effects by inducing a state of increased pressure and

Smoking Related Home Oxygen Burn Injuries: Continued Cause for Alarm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Background: Home oxygen therapy is a mainstay of treatment for patients with various cardiopulmonary diseases. In spite of warnings against smoking while using home oxygen, many patients sustain burn injuries.

PTG‐Dependent Glycogen Metabolic Dysfunction Drives Impaired Adipose Browning: A Novel Mechanism Linking PM2.5 to Metabolic Disorders

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study provides the first evidence that PM2.5 impairs iWAT browning via PTG‐mediated glycogen metabolism disruption, which is initiated by ADRB3 inhibition and subsequently triggers VEGFB upregulation. It thereby delineates the ADRB3‐PTG‐VEGFB axis as central to PM2.5‐induced metabolic dysfunction and identifies adipose glycogen metabolism as a ...
