CYP108N12 initiates p-cymene biodegradation in Rhodococcus globerulus
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 2022Rhodococcus globerulus (R. globerulus) isolated from soil beneath Eucalyptus sp. was found to live on the monoterpenes 1,8-cineole, p-cymene and (R)- and (S)-limonene as sole sources of carbon and energy. Previous metabolic studies revealed that R. globerulus is capable of living on 1,8-cineole, the main monoterpene component of eucalyptus essential ...

The structure of dichloro(cyclohexylphosphine)(η 6 -p-cymene)ruthenium, [RuCl 2 (η 6 -C 10 H 14 )(C 6 H 13 P)], is reported. The structure determination shows that the C atoms of the aromatic six-membered ring are almost equidistant from the Ru atom, at distances close to the average value of 2.21 (3) A. The other metal-ligand distances are Ru-P 2.299 (

8-amino-p-cymene from p-cymene-trichloramine-aluminum chloride-t-butyl halide
Tetrahedron, 1967Abstract p-Cymene was aminated on the isopropyl side-chain with trichloramine-aluminum chloride-t-butyl halide. At optimum conditions (p-cymene:trichloramine:aluminum chloride:t-butyl bromide = 1:0·1:0·2:0·3: 0–10°), 8-amino-p-cymene was obtained in 80% yield. Changes in temperature resulted in slightly lower yields.

Radical efficiency from azo-p-cymene
Tetrahedron, 1970Abstract The first-order rate constants (ki) and efficiencies of radical formation (e) for azo-p-cymene were measured in ten solvents spanning 80-fold in absolute viscosity and 30-fold in dielectric constant. Although viscosity plays a major role in the cage effect, specific solvation of p-cymyl radicals must also be considered. The ki exhibit little

p-Cymene metabolism in rats and guinea-pigs
Xenobiotica, 1983The metabolism of p-cymene was studied in rats and guinea-pigs. Following intragastric or inhalation dosage (100 mg/kg) urinary metabolite excretion was nearly complete within 48 h, amounting to 60-80% dose. The inhalation experiments gave the lowest values. 18 urinary metabolites were detected and identified.

Interaction of p-cymene with β-cyclodextrin
Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2011In this investigation, the study of inclusion complexes formation between p-cymene and β-cyclodextrin using the methods of physical mixture, paste (PC) and slurry (SC), was evaluated. The results of DSC and TG/DTG showed that the products prepared by PC and SC methods were able to incorporate greater amounts of p-cymene, as evidenced by the weight loss

Preparation of polymeric products from p-cymene
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences, USSR Division of Chemical Science, 19641. A method was developed for the preparation of a polymer from p-cymene by thermal polydehydrocondensation in a yield of about 40% on the amount of p-cymene taken for reaction. 2. An investigation was made of the effect of reaction time and reaction temperature in the polydehydrocondensation of p-cymene on the yield and molecular weight

Three p-cymene derivatives from Zataria multiflora
Phytochemistry, 1999Two new p-cymene derivatives named zataroside-A and zataroside-B and a new triacetoxy derivative of the same skeleton have been detected from Zataria multiflora along with p-hydroxybenzoic acid. Their structures were elucidated with the aid of NMR spectroscopy.

Microbial transformation of p-cymene
2016More than 30 bacteria, fungi and yeast were evaluated for the biotransformation ability of p-cymene to obtain new metabolites. In the course of 14 days microbial biotransformation period, 16 different metabolites were detected by TLC and GC/MS methods.
