Agonists and antagonists for P2 receptors.

Novartis Foundation symposium, 2006
Recent work has identified nucleotide agonists selective for P2Y1, P2Y2 and P2Y6 receptors and nucleotide antagonists selective for P2Y1, P2Y12 and P2X1 receptors. Selective non-nucleotide antagonists have been reported for P2Y1, P2Y2, P2Y6, P2Y12, P2Y13, P2X(2/3)/P2X3 and P2X7 receptors.

P1 and P2 Receptors in Platelets

2001
Because of the importance of platelets in haemostasis and thrombosis, these cell fragments have been extensively studied for many years and the existence of receptors for adenosine and adenine nucleotides on platelets has been recognised since the early 1960s.
