P2Y12 is a G-protein-coupled receptor that is activated upon ADP binding. Considering its well-established role in platelet activation, blocking P2Y12 has been used as a therapeutic strategy for antiplatelet aggregation in cardiovascular disease patients.

Abstract Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is characterized by a lack of a specific targeted treatment and a complex, partially unexplored pathophysiology. Common comorbidities associated with HFpEF are hypertension, atrial fibrillation, obesity and diabetes.

Abstract Aims Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) are the cornerstone of modern oncology; however, side effects such as ICI‐related myocarditis (irM) can be fatal. Recently, Bonaca proposed criteria for irM; however, it is unknown if they correlate well with cardiovascular (CV) ICI‐related adverse events.

P2Y12 inhibitor monotherapy in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.
For 20 years, dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT), consisting of the combination of aspirin and a platelet P2Y12 receptor inhibitor, has been the gold standard of antithrombotic pharmacology after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Background Participation of ADP-sensitive metabotropic P2Y1, P2Y12 and P2Y13 receptors in human osteogenesis is controversial. Here, we investigated the variations in the expression and bone-forming properties of the P2Y1R in osteogenic-differentiating ...

The inhibition of retinal ischemia-induced damage by post-ischemic prothymosin alpha (ProTα) was not affected in toll-like receptor 4 knockout (TLR4−/−) mice but blocked by the pretreatment with antibody against F0/F1 ATPase α- or β-subunit, novel ...

Abstract Background Reliance on interventional radiology (IR) has been associated with delays in procedure completion and prolonged hospital length of stay (LOS). Hospitalist medicine procedure services (HMPS) have been proposed as a strategy to mitigate these inefficiencies, though outcomes of newly established programs composed of physicians with ...

The Pharmacodynamics of Switching Between P2Y12 Receptor Antagonists
The P2Y12 receptor antagonists are key components of the medical and invasive management of coronary artery disease. These agents reduce recurrent cardiovascular events in the setting of acute coronary syndrome (ACS), decrease the incidence of thrombotic events after percutaneous ...
