P300 Component Modulation During a Go/Nogo Task in Healthy Children

open access: yesBasic and Clinical Neuroscience, 2010
Introduction: Several differences in the P300 component are observed when responses must be executed or inhibited in the Go/Nogo task. However, few studies were established by using well-controlled task with respect to the preparatory processing and ...

Loss of p300 in proximal tubular cells reduces renal fibrosis and endothelial-mesenchymal transition

open access: yesEMBO Molecular Medicine
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) has a high prevalence worldwide and is typically accompanied by severe fibrosis. However, the exact pathogenesis of renal fibrosis and effective treatments have yet to be identified. In this study, we found that expression of

p300 upregulates Ikur in atrial cardiomyocytes through activating NLRP3 inflammasome in hypertension

open access: yesChinese Medical Journal
. Background:. The nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain [NOD-], leucine-rich repeats [LRR-], and Pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome plays an essential role in hypertension-related atrial fibrillation (AF).

Electrophysiological and auditory behavioral evaluation of individuals with left temporal lobe epilepsy Avaliação eletrofisiológica e comportamental da audição em individuos com epilepsia em lobo temporal esquerdo

open access: yesArquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria, 2010
The purpose of this study was to determine the repercussions of left temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) for subjects with left mesial temporal sclerosis (LMTS) in relation to the behavioral test-Dichotic Digits Test (DDT), event-related potential (P300), and ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Musical rhythms and their influence on P300 velocity in young females Ritmos musicais diferentes: influência da velocidade no P300 em jovens mulheres

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Otorhinolaryngology, 2011
Exposure to music may be useful in the P300 retest and avoid habituation. AIM: To verify the influence of the exposure to different kinds of music in P300 in young females. STUDY DESIGN: Clinical prospective.

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Tactile, Visual, and Bimodal P300s: Could Bimodal P300s Boost BCI Performance? [PDF]

open access: yesSRX Neuroscience, 2010
The P300 is a positive peak in EEG occurring after presentation of a target stimulus. For brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), eliciting P300s by tactile stimuli would have specific advantages; the display can be hidden under clothes and keeps the user’s gaze free. In addition, robust classification is especially important for BCIs.

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.
