Facet‐Engineered S‐Scheme Heterostructure With Enhanced Active Sites for Efficient Photocatalytic Degradation of Organic Contaminants

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The facet‐engineered ZnO/Zn3In2S6 heterostructure, dominated by {001} plane coupling, exposes abundant unsaturated Zn sites with elongated Zn─O bonds, directing photoexcited charge carriers along an S‐scheme pathway and suppressing recombination. Enhanced interfacial Zn adsorption toward bisphenol A and methylene blue further synergistically promotes ...

Effects of propiverine and its metabolite propiverine-N-oxide on bladder contraction and salivation in mini pigs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Purpose: The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of propiverine-HCl (P4) and propiverine-N-oxide (P4NO), one of the major metabolites of P4, on bladder contraction in a standardized in vivo model.

Redefining Therapies for Drug‐Resistant Tuberculosis: Synergistic Effects of Antimicrobial Peptides, Nanotechnology, and Computational Design

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Antimicrobial peptide (AMP)‐loaded nanocarriers provide a multifunctional strategy to combat drug‐resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. By enhancing intracellular delivery, bypassing efflux pumps, and disrupting bacterial membranes, this platform restores phagolysosome fusion and macrophage function.

Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

Implementation and Evaluation of Activity-Based Congestion Management Using P4 (P4-ABC)

open access: yesFuture Internet, 2019
Activity-Based Congestion management (ABC) is a novel domain-based QoS mechanism providing more fairness among customers on bottleneck links. It avoids per-flow or per-customer states in the core network and is suitable for application in future 5G ...

Electrically Assisted Thermal Stamping of Tunable Carbon‐Based Nanofilms for Direct Fabrication of Hydrophobic, Energy Harvesting, and Sensing Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the electrically assisted thermal stamping (EATS) method for direct fabrication of carbon‐based nanofilms and their multifunctional applications. Localized Joule heating triggers simultaneous exfoliation, reduction, and fluoropolymer incorporation under ambient conditions, yielding tunable carbon‐based thin‐film coatings ...

Coupling Nanostructured Plasmon–Strain Microwave Waveguide to Spin Defects in Hexagonal Boron Nitride for High‐Sensitivity Quantum Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Coupling of spin‐active VB−$V_B^ - $ defects in hBN with alumina‐coated gold plasmonic nanoresonators (PNRs), integrated into a microwave‐efficient waveguide, constitutes a plasmon‐strain architecture that enhances their photoluminescence and spin contrast. This platform enables a tenfold quantum yield improvement and achieves a DC magnetic sensitivity

Mid-Luteal 17-OH Progesterone Levels in 614 Women Undergoing IVF-Treatment and Fresh Embryo Transfer—Daytime Variation and Impact on Live Birth Rates

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2018
Introduction: Corpus luteum (CL) produces progesterone (P4) and 17-OH progesterone (17-OH P4) during the luteal phase. Contrary to P4, 17-OH P4 is not supplied as part of the luteal phase support following IVF-treatment.

P4-MACsec: Dynamic Topology Monitoring and Data Layer Protection With MACsec in P4-Based SDN

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
We propose P4-MACsec to protect network links between P4-based SDN switches through automated deployment of MACsec, a widespread IEEE standard for securing Layer 2 infrastructures. MACsec is supported by switches and routers from many manufacturers.
