Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

In Vitro Digestibility Methodology Modification to Account for Horse Foregut Digestion Using Diets with Increased Soluble Carbohydrates and Protein

open access: yesFermentation
Ruminant in vitro methodologies use washing with neutral detergent solution (NDS) after incubation to mimic ruminant digestion, which is physiologically different compared to that of horses.

Nutritional value of white lupine cultivar Butan in diets for fattening pigs

open access: yesVeterinární Medicína, 2008
The aim of our study was to assess the nutritional value of whole and dehulled ground seeds of Lupinus albus L., cv. Butan by the determination of balance digestibility of nutrients in growing pigs at different levels of replacement of soy protein with ...

Digestibility in selected rainbow trout families and modelling of growth from the specific intake of digestible protein [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The experiments aimed to clarify variations in digestibility of dietary nutrients in rainbow trout. Furthermore, the objective was to study how differences in digestibility might be related to growth and feed utilisation at various growth rates.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Comparison of different protein sources on the phosphorus digestibility of soybean meal for broiler chickens determined using the regression method

open access: yesPoultry Science
: A study was conducted to evaluate the P digestibility in soybean meal (SBM) using the regression method with different basal diet that varied in protein sources. The treatments were organized in a 4 × 3 factorial arrangement, where 4 semipurified diets

The effect of corn grain micronization on diet digestibility and blood biochemical parameters in weaned Holstein calves

open access: yesSpanish Journal of Agricultural Research, 2023
Aim of study: To evaluate corn grain micronization for calves fed a grower diet. Area of study: Padinska Skela – Belgrade, Serbia. Material and methods: Thirty weaned Holstein dairy calves (65–74 days of age) were randomly assigned to one of two ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Nutritional characterization of gluten free non-traditional pasta [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
When a food is formulated, its characterization is important from the chemical and biochemical point of view; even more whennon-traditional raw materials are used. Noodles were made with cassava starch and corn flour (4:1), milk, egg, salt and xanthangum.
