Extended batch adsorber analogue model (e‐BAAM) for rapid evaluation of CO2 capture pressure swing adsorption cycles

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract This work presents a simplified extended‐batch adsorber analogue model (e‐BAAM) to quantify key performance metrics such as purity, recovery, and energy trends for various pressure swing adsorption (PSA) process cycles for CO2$$ {\mathrm{CO}}_2 $$ capture.

Unconventional localization of PAI-1 in PML bodies: A possible link with cellular growth of endothelial cells

open access: yesBiochemistry and Biophysics Reports
Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1/Serpin E1) is classically known for its antifibrinolytic activity via inhibiting uPA and tPA of the fibrinolytic pathway.

Longitudinal assessment of D-dimer and plasminogen activator inhibitor type-1 plasma levels in pregnant women with risk factors for preeclampsia

open access: yesHypertension in Pregnancy, 2019
Objective: Investigating D-Dimer/D-Di and plasminogen activator inhibitor type-1/PAI-1 levels throughout gestation in women with preeclampsia/PE risk factors. Methods: D-Di and PAI-1 plasma levels were determined in 28 women at 12–19, 20–29, 30–34 and 35–

Gender Lens Equity Funds: A Methodological Breadth–Accountability Depth Framework and Observed Outcomes

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite rapid growth in gender lens investing (GLI), substantial variation remains in how gender lens equity funds (GLEFs) integrate gender equality criteria into investment strategies. We map a universe of 43 GLEFs and develop a framework capturing gender equality screening breadth and accountability depth (fund‐level disclosure and ...

Few‐Photon Fluorescence From Ultracold Bosons in an Optical Cavity

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Within a cavity quantum electrodynamics framework, we analyse the fluorescent spectrum of ultracold bosons in resonant and second‐harmonic generation (SHG) regimes. Two settings are considered: (i) (few) bosons in an optical lattice and (ii) a trapped two‐component dilute Bose–Einstein condensate (2BEC) within the Bogoliubov scheme.

CO2 Conversion Into Energy Rich Fuels Over Nascent COF Decorated‐Lead Free Halide Perovskites Hybrid Nano Catalysts: Experimental and Computational Investigation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A panoramic scheme signifies the CO2 conversion into energy‐rich fuels over nascent COF‐decorated lead‐free halide perovskite hybrid nano‐catalysts. Even though lead‐containing halide perovskites have been deemed emerging materials. However, the presence of toxic and carcinogenic lead (Pb) metal, small surface area, low charge separation, and a high ...
