Neuronal ceroid lipofuscinoses in children

open access: yesAnnals of Indian Academy of Neurology, 2021
Background: The neuronal ceroid lipofuscinoses (NCL) constitute a group of gray matter neurodegenerative disorders characterized by the accumulation of ceroid lipopigment in lysosomes in neurons and other cell types.

Melatonin protects aged oocytes from depalmitoylation-mediated quality reduction by promoting PPT1 degradation and antioxidation

open access: yesRedox Biology
Oocyte aging is closely related to a decline in female fertility, accompanied by increased reactive oxygen species levels and changes in protein posttranslational modifications.

Intratumoral PPT1-positive macrophages determine immunosuppressive contexture and immunotherapy response in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesJournal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, 2023
Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a malignancy with limited treatment options and poor prognosis. Macrophages are enriched in the HCC microenvironment and have a significant impact on disease progression and therapy efficacy.

Quantitative analysis of PPT1 interactome in human neuroblastoma cells

open access: yesData in Brief, 2015
Mutations in the CLN1 gene that encodes Palmitoyl protein thioesterase 1 (PPT1) or CLN1, cause Infantile NCL (INCL, MIM#256730). PPT1 removes long fatty acid chains such as palmitate from modified cysteine residues of proteins. The data shown here result

In planta analysis of the mode of action of cinmethylin and confirmation of fatty acyl‐ACP thioesterases (FATs) as primary site of action

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
In planta analysis of the mode of action of cinmethylin and confirmation of fatty acyl‐ACP thioesterases (FATs) as primary site of action. Cinmethylin inhibits FATs, disrupting eukaryotic de novo lipid biosynthesis and causing defects in cell division, elongation and integrity. We confirm FATs as the primary site of action in planta.
