LEAD: Literature Enhanced Ab Initio Discovery of Nitride Dusting Layers for Enhanced Tunnel Magnetoresistance and Lower Resistance Magnetic Tunnel Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

JaSlo: Integration of a Japanese-Slovene Bilingual Dictionary with a Corpus Search System

open access: yesActa Linguistica Asiatica, 2012
The paper presents a set of integrated on-line language resources targeted at Japanese language learners, primarily those whose mother tongue is Slovene. The resources consist of the on-line Japanese-Slovene learners’ dictionary jaSlo and two corpora, a

Corpus Augmentation by Sentence Segmentation for Low-Resource Neural Machine Translation

open access: yes, 2019
Neural Machine Translation (NMT) has been proven to achieve impressive results. The NMT system translation results depend strongly on the size and quality of parallel corpora. Nevertheless, for many language pairs, no rich-resource parallel corpora exist.

Engineered Microfluidic Organoid Systems: New Paradigms for Menopause Mechanism Research and Personalized Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review explores the integration of microfluidic technology with organoid systems as an innovative platform for studying menopausea complex multi‐organ condition. By enabling precise simulation of inter‐organ communication and hormone responses, microfluidic organoids offer a physiologically relevant model for investigating menopausal syndrome and ...

Using collocation segmentation to augment the phrase table [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper describes the 2010 phrase-based statistical machine translation system developed at the TALP Research Center of the UPC1 in cooperation with BMIC2 and VMU3. In phrase-based SMT, the phrase table is the main tool in translation.

Multilingwis2 – Explore Your Parallel Corpus

open access: yes, 2017
We present Multilingwis2, a web based search engine for exploration of word-aligned parallel and multiparallel corpora. Our application extends the search facilities by Clematide et al. (2016) and is designed to be easily employable on any parallel corpus comprising universal part-of-speech tags, lemmas and word alignments.

Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.

Sulfakinin Signaling Sense Circulating Fructose and Suppresses Food Consumption via Insulin‐Like Peptide in Bactrocera Dorsalis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study discovered a new pathway that tells fruit flies when to stop eating. It found that rising blood sugar (fructose) is detected by a sensor called GR43a. This triggers a chain reaction involving the satiety signal sulfakinin and its receptor, ultimately activating a final satiety signal, ILP5.

Parallel corpus InterCorp in translation lexicography

open access: yesOpera slavica, 2017
This article presents possibilities in which parallel corpora can be applied in translation lexicography. In the past the parallel corpora mostly included literary texts and their translations but this has started to change. It is best illustrated by the

Peningkatan Akurasi Penerjemah Bahasa Daerah dengan Optimasi Korpus Paralel

open access: yesJurnal Nasional Teknik Elektro dan Teknologi Informasi, 2018
Statistical Machine Translation (SMT) quality is influenced by several factors. The most fundamental factor is quantity of corpus used as base material for building translational and language model in SMT. Quantity of corpus is a major factor in ensuring
