Feedforward control is one of the most effective control techniques to increase the robot’s tracking accuracy. However, most of the dynamic models used in the feedforward controllers are linearly simplified such that the nonlinear and time-varying ...

Chattering-Free Neuro-Sliding Mode Control of 2-DOF Planar Parallel Manipulators
This paper proposes a novel chattering free neuro-sliding mode controller for the trajectory tracking control of two degrees of freedom (DOF) parallel manipulators which have a complicated dynamic model, including modelling uncertainties, frictional ...

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Singularity-Free Fully-Isotropic Translational Parallel Manipulators [PDF]
This paper focuses on translational parallel manipulators (TPMs), that is on parallel manipulators whose output link (platform) is provided with a pure translational motion with respect to the frame.

We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Motion Performance Analysis of Double-Cylinder Parallel Manipulators [PDF]
Double-cylinder parallel manipulators are closed-loop two-degree-of-freedom linkages. They are preferred to use because of their simplicity plus the common advantages of parallel manipulators such as high stiffness, load-bearing, operation speed and ...

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Variational approach for singularity-free path-planning of parallel manipulators [PDF]
This paper addresses the problem of singularity-free path-planning for parallel manipulators. Unlike in serial manipulators, where there are only boundary singularities, parallel manipulators also possess singular configurations within the workspace ...
