Design Issues and Application of Cable-Based Parallel Manipulators for Rehabilitation Therapy
In this study, cable-based manipulators are proposed for application in rehabilitation therapies. Cable-based manipulators show good features that are very useful when the system has to interact with humans.

Optimum transmission performance of 3-RRR planar parallel manipulators and sensitivity analysis
In this paper, a parametric model of 3-RRR planar parallel manipulators (PPMs) is presented, aiming to optimize the overall transmission performance with optimum shapes and sizes of platforms, including the base and the mobile platform.

Stiffness Analysis Of Multi-Chain Parallel Robotic Systems [PDF]
The paper presents a new stiffness modelling method for multi-chain parallel robotic manipulators with flexible links and compliant actuating joints. In contrast to other works, the method involves a FEA-based link stiffness evaluation and employs a new ...

The Parallel Manipulation Argument [PDF]
Matt King has recently argued that the manipulation argument against compatibilism does not succeed by employing a dilemma: either the argument infelicitously relies on incompatibilist sourcehood c...

Stiffness analysis of overconstrained parallel manipulators [PDF]
The paper presents a new stiffness modeling method for overconstrained parallel manipulators with flexible links and compliant actuating joints. It is based on a multidimensional lumped-parameter model that replaces the link flexibility by localized 6-dof virtual springs that describe both translational/rotational compliance and the coupling between ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Kinematics and workspace analysis of a 3ppps parallel robot with u-shaped base [PDF]
This paper presents the kinematic analysis of the 3-PPPS parallel robot with an equilateral mobile platform and a U-shape base. The proposed design and appropriate selection of parameters allow to formulate simpler direct and inverse kinematics for the ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

A study of the singularity locus in the joint space of planar parallel manipulators: special focus on cusps and nodes [PDF]
Cusps and nodes on plane sections of the singularity locus in the joint space of parallel manipulators play an important role in nonsingular assembly-mode changing motions.
