Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Structure of Parallel Mechanism Combined with Waterbomb-Base-Inspired Origami
Structure from the geometry and analysis of the three-spherical kinematic chain-base parallel mechanism have been studied. The parallel mechanism evolved from an origami fold as chain legs with three spherical kinematic chains becoming rigid bodies.

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Analysis of Motion Errors of Linear Guide Pair Based on Parallel Mechanism
This paper systematically summarized the technical state of art and research results on the motion error of a linear guideway, corrected some misconceptions, and further clarified the relationship between the straightness error of the guide rail itself ...

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.

Peptide‐based ligand antagonists block a Vibrio cholerae adhesin
The structure of a peptide‐binding domain of the Vibrio cholerae adhesin FrhA was solved by X‐ray crystallography, revealing how the inhibitory peptide AGYTD binds tightly at its Ca2+‐coordinated pocket. Structure‐guided design incorporating D‐amino acids enhanced binding affinity, providing a foundation for developing anti‐adhesion therapeutics ...

Modeling and Analysis of a Novel 3R Parallel Compliant Mechanism
This paper presents and investigates a new three-rotation (3R) parallel compliant mechanism that uses compliant rods to achieve three rotations. The mechanism is designed for use in pointing devices or as a spatial parallel manipulator.

Probabilistic motion planning for parallel mechanisms [PDF]
Despite the increasing interest in parallel mechanisms during the last years, few researchers have addressed the motion planning problem for such systems. The few existing techniques lie in a representation of the workspace of the mechanism (or its boundary).
