Comprehensive Assessment of Arterial, Tissue, and Venous Collaterals for Evaluating the Infarct Growth Rate: The Multimodal Collateral Score

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

The oscillation-instability mechanism of PMSM sensorless control caused by inductance mismatch and the stabilizing method

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
The model-based sensorless control of permanent magnetic synchronous motor (PMSM) relies on the parameter value. But in practice, the parameter mismatch is inevitable, which degrades the motor performance, even leads to the oscillation-instability.

T1 Over Squared Proton Density Ratio to Characterize Multiple Sclerosis Lesions

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Differentiating remyelinated from demyelinated lesions in MS remains challenging without histological confirmation. This study introduces the T1‐to‐PD2 ratio (TPR) imaging approach and evaluates its ability to characterize MS lesions alongside other quantitative MRI (qMRI) metrics. Methods Thirty individuals with MS (mean age: 47.5 ±

Importance and estimation of mismatch uncertainty for RF parameters in calibration laboratories [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Metrology and Quality Engineering, 2012
A number of calibration techniques are used in Radio Frequency (RF) calibration for power, attenuation and impedance parameters. Mismatch uncertainty plays a major role in these measurements and in estimation of combined uncertainty according to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and GUM document.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Deadbeat Predictive Current Control Strategy for Permanent Magnet-Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor Based on Adaptive Sliding Mode Observer

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal
To suppress current and torque ripples, this paper proposes a novel deadbeat predictive current control strategy based on an adaptive sliding mode observer for permanent magnet-assisted synchronous reluctance motor (PMa-SynRM) drives.
