Parameter space exploration within dynamic simulations of signaling networks
We started offering an introduction to very basic aspects of molecular biology, for the reader coming from computer sciences, information technology, mathematics.

Hyper-parameter Optimization for Latent Spaces
We present an online optimization method for time-evolving data streams that can automatically adapt the hyper-parameters of an embedding model. More specifically, we employ the Nelder-Mead algorithm, which uses a set of heuristics to produce and exploit several potentially good configurations, from which the best one is selected and deployed.

Finding excesses in model parameter space
Simulation-based inference (SBI) makes it possible to infer the parameters of a model from high-dimensional low-level features of the observed events. In this work we show how this method can be used to establish the presence of a weak signal on top of ...

Random template placement and prior information
In signal detection problems, one is usually faced with the task of searching a parameter space for peaks in the likelihood function which indicate the presence of a signal.

LiDO: Exploring the Stable Plutino Parameter Space
We present a publicly available, high-resolution, filled-parameter-space synthetic distribution of the plutinos, trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) librating in the 3:2 mean-motion resonance with Neptune, with particular focus on the plutinos simultaneously ...

Steering in the parameter space of a mode-locked laser [PDF]
The specific control of individual mode-locking states in an ultrafast laser requires knowledge about its phase space. We use a Mamyshev oscillator as a model nonlinear system to present an all-electronic manipulation and steering of nonlinear states ...

A two-parameter “Bergman space” inequality [PDF]
For f ∈ L 1 ( [ 0 , 1 ] × [ 0 , 1 ] ) f\in L^{1}([0,1]\times [0,1]) , define λ R ≡ ⟨ f , h

Semantically Controlled Adaptive Equalisation in Reduced Dimensionality Parameter Space
Equalisation is one of the most commonly-used tools in sound production, allowing users to control the gains of different frequency components in an audio signal.

Constraining the loop quantum gravity parameter space from phenomenology
Development of quantum gravity theories rarely takes inputs from experimental physics. In this letter, we take a small step towards correcting this by establishing a paradigm for incorporating putative quantum corrections, arising from canonical quantum ...
