Passive fault‐tolerant control for discrete parameter system
This study develops a passive fault‐tolerant control (FTC) method with weak conservatism for the discrete parameter system. For the first time, application of (0‐1) and symbolic parameters for describing the discrete parameter system is given.

Passive Fault-Tolerant Control of a 2-DOF Robotic Helicopter [PDF]
The presence of faults in dynamic systems causes the potential loss of some of the control objectives. For that reason, a fault-tolerant controller is required to ensure a proper operation, as well as to reduce the risk of accidents.

Passive Fault-Tolerant Control for NCSs Using Event-Triggered Approach
In this paper, the passive event-triggered control problem for networked control systems with actuator faults is of concern. A sufficient condition is proposed by a Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, under which such type continuous-time Networked control ...

Observer-based fault tolerant control of shape memory alloy actuator [PDF]
This study aims to design and experimentally implement a nonlinear fault tolerant control scheme for shape memory alloy actuator employed for a robotic manipulator. In the proposed scheme, a super twisting sliding mode controller as a baseline controller

Progressive Optimal Fault-Tolerant Control Combining Active and Passive Control Manners
This study develops a progressive optimal fault-tolerant control method based on insufficient fault information. By combining passive and active fault-tolerant control manners during the process of fault diagnosis, insufficient fault information is fully

Robust Quasi–LPV Model Reference FTC of a Quadrotor Uav Subject to Actuator Faults [PDF]
A solution for fault tolerant control (FTC) of a quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is proposed. It relies on model reference-based control, where a reference model generates the desired trajectory.

Passive Fault Tolerant Control of Motorboat System
A hybrid passive control strategy is developed for a class of hybrid systems modeled by Mixed Logical Dynamical (MLD) approach. It allows to model different operating modes of the system and constraints. We proposed using the MPC for control system .The passive controller is used to take in account the actuator failure and the optimization problem is ...

Passivation blocks for fault tolerant control of nonlinear systems [PDF]
This paper describes a novel passivity/dissipativity based approach for fault tolerant control (FTC) of nonlinear systems by means of fault hiding, i.e., by inserting reconfiguration blocks (RBs) between the plant and controller to mitigate the fault effects. The proposed approach is used to design a new kind of RB, called passivation block (PB), which
