The Impact of Airway Oxidative Stress on Macrophage Polarization in Stable Asthma and COPD: Association With Clinical Features in a Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 11, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The polarization status of pulmonary macrophages is dependent on cytokines and mediators present locally in the airways. This study aimed to evaluate whether oxidative stress present in the airways of asthma or COPD patients promotes M1 or M2 macrophage polarization.

lincRNA6679 promotes FnPR1B expression via phosphorylation‐activated FnWRKY14 to enhance strawberry resistance to Botrytis cinerea

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, Volume 68, Issue 6, Page 1898-1918, June 2026.
In strawberry, Botrytis cinerea induces the expression of the long, intergenic non‐coding RNA lincRNA667,which upregulates the transcription factor gene FnWRKY14. FnWRKY14 then binds to the promoter of the pathogenesis‐related gene FnPR1B, enhancing strawberry resistance to B. cinerea.

Molecular characterization of CCKR in Ctenopharyngodon idella and its involvement in the intestinal immune response to bacterial challenges

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society, Volume 57, Issue 3, June 2026.
Abstract Cholecystokinin receptor (CCKR), an important recognition receptor for the gastrointestinal hormone cholecystokinin (CCK) in the endocrine system, plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses in mammals. In this study, a novel cholecystokinin receptor (CiCCKR) was identified from the grass carp Ctenopharyngodon idella.

Infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV) in fish and its consequences for fish farming: A comprehensive review

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society, Volume 57, Issue 3, June 2026.
Abstract Viral diseases are a major concern in finfish aquaculture, leading to severe health problems. Infectious hematopoietic necrosis (IHN) is a highly transmissible systemic viral disease that primarily affects salmonids, causing significant mortality and economic losses to the salmonid farming industry.
