Chrysin, which targets PLAU, protects PC12 cells from OGD/R-stimulated damage through repressing the NF-κB signaling pathway

open access: yesRegenerative Therapy, 2022
Cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury (CIRI) is a great challenge for the patients with brain ischemia, but its pathophysiological mechanism has not been clearly explored.

A Microenvironment‐Adaptive Scaffold Rejuvenates Peripheral Nerve Regeneration During Aging Via Dual Modulation of Ferroptotic Stimuli in Schwann Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
(i) Aging impairs peripheral nerve regeneration via its dual ferroptosis‐mediated pathologies in senescent schwann cells. (ii) The composite nerve conduit is a symbiosis niche integrating microenvironment‐responsive nanoparticles (Ga‐PTAs) and maxillofacial‐derived mesenchymal stem cells (Mmscs).

Transplantation of Polymer Encapsulated Pc12 Cells: Use of Chitosan as an Immobilization Matrix

open access: yesCell Transplantation, 1993
Polymer capsules were fabricated to encapsulate PC12 cells within a semipermeable and immunoprotective barrier. The inclusion of precipitated chitosan as an immobilization matrix within the polymer capsules increased the survival and physiological ...

Synergistic Neuroprotective Effect of Endogenously-Produced Hydroxytyrosol and Synaptic Vesicle Proteins on Pheochromocytoma Cell Line against Salsolinol

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
Oxidative stress triggers a lethal cascade, leading to Parkinson’s disease by causing degeneration of dopaminergic neurons. In this study, eight antioxidants were screened for their neuroprotective effect on PC12 cells (pheochromocytoma cell line) under ...

NGF regulates the PC12 cell cycle machinery through specific inhibition of the Cdk kinases and induction of cyclin D1

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience, 1995
We have examined the effects of NGF on components of the PC12 cell cycle machinery. We show that NGF represses over 6–8 d the levels of specific cdk kinase proteins and the G2-M phase specific cyclin B1 and the S phase marker PCNA as well as the level of

ZBTB18 Dysfunction Promotes Neuropathic Pain via CHD4‐based Epigenetic Disinhibition of CLIC1 Channels in Sensory Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we identify a novel functional role of ZBTB18 in regulating trigeminal‐mediated neuropathic pain. Nerve injury reduces ZBTB18 in trigeminal ganglion neurons, impairing CHD4/NuRD recruitment and de‐repressing Clic1. Elevated CLIC1 enhances chloride channel activity and neuronal hyperexcitability, thereby driving pain.

Germacrone protects against oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion injury by inhibiting autophagy processes in PC12 cells

open access: yesBMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies, 2020
Background Germacrone is an anti-inflammatory ingredient in the Chinese medicine zedoary turmeric. The purpose of this study was to explore the protective mechanism of germacrone against PC12 cells injury caused by oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion (

Sequential Regulation of Neurovascular Bone Regeneration in Large Bone Defects Using Black Phosphorus‐Europium Nanosheet Integrated TPMS Biomimetic Scaffold with Photo‐Controlled Ion Release

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TPBE scaffolds, in conjunction with mild photothermal effects, effectively activate the PI3K/Akt signaling cascade, thereby promoting early neuronal differentiation and neurite growth. Short‐term (12 W) in vivo implantation studies revealed no significant pathological damage to major organs, providing preliminary evidence of the material's excellent ...
