Differential Roles of p300 and PCAF Acetyltransferases in Muscle Differentiation [PDF]

open access: yesMolecular Cell, 1997
PCAF is a histone acetyltransferase that associates with p300/CBP and competes with E1A for access to them. While exogenous expression of PCAF potentiates both MyoD-directed transcription and myogenic differentiation, PCAF inactivation by anti-PCAF antibody microinjection prevents differentiation.

The role of vitamin D receptor signaling in hair follicle health and alopecia: Current understanding and therapeutic implications

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 20, Issue 1, March 2026.
The vitamin D receptor (VDR) regulates hair follicle biology through ligand‐dependent and ligand‐independent mechanisms by heterodimerizing with retinoid X receptor, recruiting coactivator complexes, and activating target genes including Wnt inhibitors, hair keratins, and cell cycle regulators.

PCAF‐mediated acetylation of ISX recruits BRD4 to promote epithelial‐mesenchymal transition

open access: yesEMBO Reports, 2020
Epigenetic regulation is important for cancer progression; however, the underlying mechanisms, particularly those involving protein acetylation, remain to be fully understood.

Diffusion processes on branching Brownian motion

open access: yes, 2018
We construct a class of one-dimensional diffusion processes on the particles of branching Brownian motion that are symmetric with respect to the limits of random martingale measures.

Forecasting Carbon Prices: A Literature Review

open access: yesJournal of Forecasting, Volume 45, Issue 2, Page 496-529, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Carbon emissions trading is utilized by a growing number of states as a significant tool for addressing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), global warming problem and the climate crisis. Accurate forecasting of carbon prices is essential for effective policy design and investment strategies in climate change mitigation.

RIP1-HAT1-SirT complex identification and targeting in treatment and prevention of cancer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Purpose: Alteration in cell death is a hallmark of cancer. A functional role regulating survival, apoptosis, and necroptosis has been attributed to RIP1/3 complexes.Experimental Design: We have investigated the role of RIP1 and the effects of MC2494 in ...

ACSL5 Regulates Glucose Metabolism and Chemotherapy Sensitivity in Colorectal Cancer Cells under Glutamine Deficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
Glutamine deprivation triggers ACSL5 upregulation in tumor cells, sustaining their viability via dual metabolic rewiring programs. ACSL5 enhances glycolysis by relieving p53's inhibition of PGAM1 while also sustaining mitochondrial respiration and TCA cycle flux through promoting IDH2 dimerization.

Nejire/dCBP-mediated control of H3 acetylation and transcriptional regulation by testis-specific Plus3 domain proteins during Drosophila spermatogenesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Spermatogenesis describes the development from germ line stem cells to highly specialized sperm. Drosophila melanogaster spermatogenesis is a good model system for chromatin remodelling processes as many of these processes are similar in mammals and in ...

Neurogenesis and the Epigenetic Landscape: Role of Histone Modifications and Chromatin Remodeling

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
Histone methylation and acetylation modulate gene expression by inducing chromatin condensation or relaxation, which in turn regulates transcriptional activity and impacts neurogenesis. ABSTRACT Aims The purpose of this review is to examine how epigenetic regulation particularly chromatin modification and histone methylation controls gene expression ...

Expression of Nuclear Receptor Coactivators in the Human Fetal Membranes at Term before and after Labor

open access: yesObstetrics and Gynecology International, 2012
Human fetal membranes play an important role in term and preterm labor and are responsive to steroids. We examined the expression of steroid receptor coactivators in fetal membranes obtained prior to and following labor at term.
