pSTAT3 Expression is Increased in Advanced Prostate Cancer in Post‐Initiation of Androgen Deprivation Therapy

open access: yesThe Prostate, Volume 85, Issue 3, Page 252-264, February 2025.
ABSTRACT Background The transcription factor Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3 (STAT3) plays a role in carcinogenesis and is involved in processes, such as proliferation, differentiation, drug resistance and immunosuppression. STAT3 can be activated by phosphorylation of tyrosine at position 705 (pSTAT3Tyr705) or serine at 727 ...

CRM1 regulates androgen receptor stability and impacts DNA repair pathways in prostate cancer, independent of the androgen receptor

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 2, 31 January 2025.
Prostate cancer demonstrates significantly elevated levels of CRM1 expression. Inhibition of CRM1 by Selinexor leads to a decrease in androgen receptor (AR) transcript and protein. We demonstrate that CRM1 regulates the nuclear export of HSP90, a key chaperone that regulates the stability of AR protein.

The Relationship between Cost Analysis and Program Management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Cost analysis if often viewed as applying basic principles and cost methodologies to determine total system cost. These finished estimates then flow into a decision making process and the cost estimator leaves the stage.

Evaluation of Yellow Mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) Larvae Meal as a Carbon Source in Biofloc System for Dwarf Crayfish (Cambarellus montezumae) Culture

open access: yesAquaculture Nutrition, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the use of Tenebrio molitor larvae meal as a carbon source in a biofloc system (BFT) to optimize the culture of C. montezumae. A trial was conducted for 24 weeks, 500 T. molitor larvae were reared with wheat bran as substrate, and hydration once a week; at the end, 9000 T.
