Evaluation of Drillability of the Mahu Conglomerate Formation in Xinjiang, China

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract illustrates the workflow for developing an optimized prediction model using measurement while drilling (MWD) data. A total of 90 MWD cases are divided into a training set (80%) and a test set (20%). Four logging‐while‐drilling parameters—compensation density, acoustic travel time, resistivity, and neutron porosity—are selected ...

Cutting Efficiency of a Single PDC Cutter on Hard Rock

open access: yesCanadian International Petroleum Conference, 2007
Abstract Polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) bits have gained wide popularity in the petroleum industry for drilling soft and moderate-strength formations. However, in hard-formation applications the PDC bit still has limitations even though continuing developments in PDC cutter designs and materials have steadily

Human Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cell–Derived Exosomes Attenuate Renal Fibrosis by Suppressing Fibroblast Activation via the INHBA/PI3K/AKT Pathway

open access: yesPediatric Discovery, EarlyView.
MSC‐Exo derived from human umbilical cord (HucMSC‐Exo) downregulates INHBA expression, consequently modulating the PI3K/AKT signaling cascade. This regulation attenuates renal fibroblast activation and extracellular matrix deposition, thereby exerting a renoprotective effect against fibrosis.

FRACTOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF PDC CUTTER FAILURE MECHANISMS

open access: yesIZVESTIA VOLGOGRAD STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY
The paper presents the results of a study of the physical mechanisms of operational damage and failure of polycrystalline diamond layers in PDC cutters (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact), which are the cutting elements of diamond and matrix drill bits. For this purpose, fractographic analysis of the fracture surfaces of the diamond layer in PDC cutters ...

Universal Confinement Length Governs Radical Depolymerization Kinetics in Nanoconfined Polymers

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Analysis of PMMA depolymerization kinetics identifies a critical threshold under extreme nanoconfinement where segmental mobility saturation prevents further increases in depolymerization temperature. ABSTRACT Thermal depolymerization is typically studied in bulk, yet many systems involve polymers confined within nanoscale geometries. Understanding how
