CO oxidation on PdO surfaces

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 2010
Density functional calculations were performed in order to investigate CO oxidation on two of the most stable bulk PdO surfaces. The most stable PdO(100) surface, with oxygen excess, is inert against CO adsorption, whereas strong adsorption on the stoichiometric PdO(101) surface leads to favorable oxidation via the Langmuir–Hinshelwood mechanism.

Pt-Functionalized PdO Nanowires for Room Temperature Hydrogen Gas Sensors

open access: yesACS Sensors, 2018
In this work, we prepared a well-aligned palladium oxide nanowire (PdO NW) array using the lithographically patterned Pd nanowire electrodeposition (LPNE) method followed by subsequent calcination at 500 °C. Sensitization with platinum (Pt) nanoparticles

Optical dielectric response of PdO

Physical Review B, 1992
The dielectric response functions of single-crystal PdO parallel and perpendicular to the c axis are obtained from 1.6 to 5.8 eV by analysis of ellipsometric data. Strong anisotropy is observed. Both e ∥(ω) and e ⊥(ω) show a Lorentz-oscillator-type resonance near 2.5 eV, but the strength of this oscillator for e ∥ is about twice as big as that for e

Optical properties of PdO and PtO

Physical Review B, 1994
We have calculated the anisotropic dielectric function for PdO and PtO using the linear-muffin-tin-orbital--atom-sphere-approximation method. The optical matrix elements are explicitly included in the calculations and we find that they play a significant role in determining the shape of the frequency dependence of the dielectric function and its ...

Metabolomics and PDO

2013
Abstract Metabolomics, the characterization of low-molecular-weight compounds in a system, is arising as a powerful tool in food authentication. Metabolomic analyses, which can be performed either in a targeted or untargeted way, allow differentiation between classes and sometimes even identification of different compounds.

PDO Opperdoezer Potatoes in the Netherlands

2019
The Opperdoezer Ronde is a potato variety that was first grown in 1860 in the village of Opperdoes in the province of North-Holland in the Netherlands. In 1996 the Opperdoezer Ronde became a PDO protected product that can only be grown on 450 ha of farmland in Opperdoes every 3 years in the crop rotation.

Photoelectron spectrum of PdO−

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1999
The photoelectron spectrum of PdO− is presented and discussed. The spectrum exhibits multiple, close-lying electronic transitions from what appears to be a single state of the anion. The electron affinity of PdO is determined to be 1.570±0.006 eV. No vibrational structure is observed in the spectrum, but a recurring 780±60 cm−1 spacing appears to be ...

On the Asian expression of the PDO

International Journal of Climatology, 2006
AbstractThe causes and mechanisms of Pacific Decadal Variability (PDV) are still being investigated. One reason that such variability is not better understood is the scarcity of high‐resolution paleoclimatic records from the Asian side of the North Pacific.
