Higher-Order Energy Expansions and Spike Locations
We consider the following singularly perturbed semilinear elliptic problem: (I)\left\{ \begin{array}{l} \epsilon^{2} \Delta u - u + f(u)=0 \ \ \mbox{in} \ \Omega, \\ u>0 \ \ \mbox{in} \ \ \Omega \ \ \mbox{and} \ \frac{\partial u}{\partial \nu}

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

On The Two Dimensional Gierer-Meinhardt system with strong coupling
We construct solutions with a single interior condensation point for the two-dimensional Gierer-Meinhardt system with strong coupling. The condensation point is located at a nondegenerate critical point of the diagonal part of the regular part

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Shifting Urban Freight Deliveries to the Off-Peak Hours: A Review of Theory and Practice
This paper presents a comprehensive review of the literature on off-peak hour deliveries (OPHD). The review identifies different approaches and policy levers used in the past, such as the laissez-faire approach, a road pricing approach, an incentives ...

Electron transfer between complexes III and IV in S. cerevisiae mitochondrial membranes
Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation in S. cerevisiae mitoplasts is limited by complex IV catalytic capacity, rather than two‐dimensional cytochrome c diffusion. At physiological cytochrome c : supercomplex ratios at salinity equivalent to that of 20 mm monovalent salt, activity is maximized, indicating that this low ionic strength accurately mimics

On a Two Dimensional Reaction-Diffusion System with Hypercyclical Structure
We study a hypercyclical reaction-diffusion system which arises in the modeling of catalytic networks and describes the emerging of cluster states.

Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Research on pulse electrodeposition of Fe-Ni alloy
Fe-Ni alloys were fabricated on steel substrates by means of pulse electrodeposition in sulfate solutions. The layers were electrodeposited using different peak current densities, duty cycles and frequencies.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
