Multi-peak solutions for a class of degenerate elliptic equations
By means of a penalization argument due to del Pino and Felmer, we prove the existence of multi-spike solutions for a class of quasilinear elliptic equations under natural growth conditions. Compared with the semilinear case some difficulties arise, mainly concerning the properties of the limit equation.

Peak solutions for the Dirichlet problem of an elliptic system
We study a system of elliptic equations arising from biology with a chemotaxis term. This system is non-variational. Using a reduction argument, we show that the system has solutions with peaks near the boundary and inside the domain.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Analysis of the Evolution of Tannic Acid Stabilized Gold Nanoparticles Using Mie Theory
Spherical gold nanoparticles (GNPs) have been synthesized in aqueous solutions using sodium citrate (SC) and tannic acid (TA) as reducing and stabilizing agents.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Higher order energy expansions for some singularly perturbed Neumann problems [PDF]
We consider the following singularly perturbed semilinear elliptic problem: \epsilon^{2} \Delta u - u + u^p=0 \ \ \mbox{in} \ \Omega, \quad u>0 \ \ \mbox{in} \ \ \Omega \quad \mbox{and} \ \frac{\partial u}{\partial \nu} =0 \ \mbox{on} \ \partial \

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Standing Waves in the FitzHugh-Nagumo System and a Problem in Combinatorial Geometry
We show that there is a close relation between standing-wave solutions for the FitzHugh-Nagumo system \[ \Delta u +u(u-a)(1-u) - \delta v=0, \ \ \Delta v-\delta \gamma v + u=0 \ \ \mbox{in} \ R^N,\] \[ u, v \to 0 \ \mbox{as} \ |x| \to +\infty ...
