Outcomes of adult patients with Li‐Fraumeni syndrome and myeloid neoplasms
Abstract Background Li‐Fraumeni syndrome (LFS) is an inherited cancer predisposition syndrome. Hematologic malignancies are not considered LFS defining tumors, however, both acute lymphoblastic leukemia and therapy‐related myeloid neoplasms (MNs) in LFS are described. Treatment approaches and outcomes of MN in LFS need further evaluation.

The Role of “Adult‐Onset” Cancer Predisposition Genes in Pediatric Cancer: A Comprehensive Review
ABSTRACT Current literature estimates that 10% of pediatric cancers are caused by pathogenic or likely pathogenic (P/LP) germline variants in cancer predisposition genes (CPGs). Variants in CPGs thought to increase cancer risk exclusively during adulthood are referred to as “adult‐onset” CPGs (aoCPGs).

Discrimination between benign and malignant tumors is a challenging process in pediatric adrenocortical tumors. New insights in the metabolic profile of pediatric adrenocortical tumors may contribute to this distinction, predict prognosis, as well as identify new molecular targets for therapy.

This work synthesizes recent insights into the pathological roles of cyclins and cyclin‐dependent kinases (CDKs) across human cancers, highlights state‐of‐the‐art innovative approaches (especially targeted degradation and redistribution of CDK/cyclin proteins) for cancer therapy, and outlines future directions for CDK/cyclin‐related biomedical research.

Genomic landscape of pediatric adrenocortical tumors
Pediatric adrenocortical carcinoma is a rare malignancy with poor prognosis. Here we analyze 37 adrenocortical tumors (ACTs) by whole genome, whole exome and/or transcriptome sequencing.

Obesity in Classic Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia: Mechanisms, Complications and Management
ABSTRACT Classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CCAH) is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder primarily caused by 21‐hydroxylase deficiency. Although the survival rate of patients has significantly improved with glucocorticoid replacement therapy, long‐term use of supraphysiological doses and multiple factors inherent to the disease itself have led

Insulin-Like Growth Factor II (IGF-II) Is More Potent Than IGF-I in Stimulating Cortisol Secretion from Cultured Bovine Adrenocortical Cells: Interaction with the IGF-I Receptor and IGF-Binding Proteins [PDF]
Although the stimulating effect of insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) on adrenal steroidogenesis has been well established, the role of IGF-II in the adult adrenal gland remains unknown.

Pediatric adrenocortical tumor manifesting as Cushing’s syndrome and virilization
ABSTRACT Pediatric Cushing’s syndrome is a rare entity. In younger children, adrenocortical tumors are the common cause of this syndrome. Although clinically it is difficult to differentiate benign adrenocortical adenoma from aggressive carcinoma, the categorization of the tumor by the Wieneke scoring system can assist in predicting the ...
