Therapeutic Potential of Agmatine in Essential Tremor Through Regulation of Lingo‐1 and Inflammatory Pathways

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 1, January 2025.
Agmatine significantly reduced tremors, ameliorated anxiety‐like behaviors, and attenuated harmaline‐induced locomotor deficits. At the molecular level, agmatine significantly suppressed the overexpression of Lingo‐1 elicited by harmaline. Moreover, IL‐6 expression was attenuated to an extent comparable to control levels.

Roles of Mitochondrial Fusion and Division in Harmine Derivative H‐2‐168‐Induced Neurotoxicity

open access: yesJournal of Immunology Research, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Background: Harmine (HM) has several pharmacological effects; however, severe neurotoxicity limits its clinical application and development. HM neurotoxicity is associated with abnormal energy metabolism. This study aimed to explore the roles and underlying mechanisms of mitochondrial fusion and division in HM derivative H‐2‐168‐induced neurotoxicity ...

Cenotic Characteristic of Peganum harmala L. on Various Plant Communities

open access: yesBulletin of Science and Practice, 2021
The article presents the results of our coenopopulations studies of Peganum harmala L., conducted in various plant communities, ecologically most, less and least polluted areas. An old coenopopulation type has been identified in Peganum harmala L. in I CP in 2016 (∆−0.56–0.61), in II CP in 2018 (∆−0.56–0.56).

Anti‐Inflammatory and Antimicrobial Effects of Herbal Formulation Called Apo‐Taat Using Extended‐Spectrum ß‐Lactamase‐Producing Escherichia coli Isolates

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Pathogens contaminate drinking water in tropical countries causing diarrheal diseases. The conventional treatment for diarrhea is antibiotics. However, overuse and misuse of antibiotics has enabled pathogens to adapt, causing global antibiotic resistance and proliferation of extended‐spectrum ß‐lactamase‐producing Escherichia coli (ESBL‐E. coli), which
