Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

High-velocity projectile penetration test and theoretical calculation of pseudo fluid penetration of calcareous sand

open access: yesDefence Technology
To explore the penetration resistance of calcareous sand media, penetration tests have been conducted in the velocity range of 200–1000 m/s using conical-nosed projectiles with a diameter of 14.5 mm.

Hard rock tunnel boring machine penetration test as an indicator of chipping process efficiency

open access: yesJournal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, 2017
The transition from grinding to chipping can be observed in tunnel boring machine (TBM) penetration test data by plotting the penetration rate (distance/revolution) against the net cutter thrust (force per cutter) over the full range of penetration rates

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Multiple jet study [PDF]

open access: yes
Test data is presented which allows determination of jet penetration and mixing of multiple cold air jets into a ducted subsonic heated mainstream flow. Jet-to-mainstream momentum flux ratios ranged from 6 to 60.
