Shaping Plant Growth Beneath the Soil: A Theoretical Exploration of Fungal Endophyte's Role as Plant Growth‐Promoting Agents

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 14, Issue 4, August 2025.
A schematic representation depicting various mechanisms of plant growth promotion by fungal endophytes present in different parts of the plant. Fungal endophytes are present in various parts of the plant, including leaves, stems, and most abundantly in roots.

Macroscopic Physical Properties and Nutrient Content in the Fermentation of Pangasius Waste by Single Cultures and Microbial Consortiums and Their Potential for Feed

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 14, Issue 4, August 2025.
This study is a new finding regarding the diversification of protein source raw material for livestock, namely, in the form of fermented pangasius waste. It is hoped that these findings can provide information regarding the use of protein source raw materials that are relatively more affordable and easy to obtain. ABSTRACT Fish waste processing through

Barrier, Mechanical and Antimicrobial Properties of Yam Starch Film With Cássia Cinnamon Essential Oil and Its Application in Strawberry Storage

open access: yesPackaging Technology and Science, Volume 38, Issue 8, Page 681-697, August 2025.
Chitosan and cinnamon oil reduced film thickness and improved water vapor barrier properties. Cinnamon oil in yam starch films showed strong antibacterial activity against E. coli and S. aureus. Yam starch films with chitosan and cinnamon oil effectively inhibited fungal growth on strawberries.

Dual Role of MtHAC‐1 in Regulating Cellulase and Xylanase Production in Myceliophthora thermophila

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 18, Issue 8, August 2025.
Through a combination of gene deletion, overexpression analyses, and electrophoretic mobility shift assays, we demonstrate that MtHac‐1 acts as a dual‐function regulator of cellulase and xylanase production, directly modulating the expression of major cellulase and xylanase genes, as well as the regulatory gene Mtxyr1, through promoter binding ...
