Unexpected Products Isolated From Neptunium Halide Syntheses

Unanticipated products can crystallize when doing ligand substitution chemistry of NpCl4(DME)2 (DME = 1,2‐dimethoxyethane). Stereochemical Modulation of Palladacyclopentadienyl Complexes Bearing Diphosphine Ligands: A Key to Enhanced DNA Interaction and Anticancer Activity

A modular library of structurally robust palladacyclopentadienyl Pd(II) complexes bearing achiral and chiral diphosphines was developed, revealing a strong influence of diphosphine design and ligand chirality on cytotoxicity and selectivity against ovarian cancer cells, including platinum‐resistant models.

The first low‐oxidation (I/III) state chromium‐complex bearing a O‐chelating NHC ligand has been synthesized and structurally characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray analysis. The formation of the mixed‐valence species was further supported by SQUID magnetometry and high‐field electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy.

A Crystalline Ylide‐Stabilized Stibenium Cation

The isolation of a stibenium cation stabilized by two thiophosphinoyl‐tethered ylide groups is reported. The cation is accessible via salt metathesis of the metalated ylide with SbCl3 and features CSb single bonds, with lone pairs remaining localized at the ylidic carbon atoms.
