CXCL3 Antagonism Reverses Systemic Antitumor Immune Memory Impairment Associated With High Tumor Burden and Sensitizes Anti‐PD‐1 Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that large tumors secrete more chemokine CXCL3, which recruits immunosuppressive neutrophils to the periphery, thereby impairing the activation and memory of systemic tumor‑reactive CD8+ T cells. CXCL3 antagonism restores systemic immune memory and enhances the antitumor efficacy of anti‑PD‑1 therapy, offering a potential strategy to

A Spatiotemporal Single‐Cell Atlas Uncovers Dysregulated ECM Dynamics and Septal Remodeling Arrest in Human Ventricular Septal Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrating single‐cell and spatial transcriptomics reveals human ventricular septal defect (VSD) as a disease of microenvironmental insufficiency and structural remodeling arrest. Attenuated endothelial‐fibroblast crosstalk, alongside downregulated THBS1/TGF‐β1 and MMP2 signaling networks, impairs the endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndoMT) and

The Effect of Eight Weeks of Core Stability Training and Chitosan Supplementation on Cholecystokinin (CCK) and Peptide YY (PYY) Levels in Overweight Women: A Randomized Controlled Trial [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences
Background and purpose: Obesity disrupts the secretion of appetite-regulating hormones, such as peptide YY (PYY) and cholecystokinin (CCK), which disrupts natural appetite control mechanisms and promotes excessive food intake and weight gain.

On the relationship between glucose absorption and glucose‐stimulated secretion of GLP‐1, neurotensin, and PYY from different intestinal segments in the rat

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, 2017
Ingested glucose powerfully stimulates the secretion of appetite‐ and metabolism‐regulating peptide hormones from the gut – including glucagon‐like peptide‐1 (GLP‐1), neurotensin (NT), and polypeptide YY (PYY).

Quantifying the Dynamics of Network Detachment Across Scientific, Technological, Commercial, and Pharmacological Domains

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Across scientific, technological, commercial, and pharmacological domains, individuals and organizations disengage from a previously adopted practice not at random, but as their network neighbors detach. The probability of detachment rises with the number of neighbors who have already disengaged. Preferential detachment reshapes network disintegration,

WFS1 Deficiency Impairs PIAS4‐Associated SUMOylation and Increases Ubiquitin‐Mediated Spermatogenesis‐Related Protein Degradation Leading to Testicular Male Infertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The findings establish a critical role for WFS1 in human male fertility. Mechanistically, WFS1 interacts with PIAS4 to promote the SUMOylation of key spermatogenesis‐associated proteins, which in turn competitively inhibits their K48‐linked ubiquitin‐mediated degradation during spermatogenesis.

Correlations of circulating peptide YY and ghrelin with body weight, rate of weight gain, and time required to achieve the recommended daily intake in preterm infants

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research, 2012
The objective was to elucidate the relationships between serum concentrations of the gut hormone peptide YY (PYY) and ghrelin and growth development in infants for potential application to the clinical observation index.
