European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 17, 17 June 2026.Here, we describe new Cu(I)/Cu(II) complexes based on arylated tren ligands and investigate their reactivity toward O2 and peroxides. Low‐temperature–stopped flow studies revealed the formation of transient copper–oxygen species, including superoxido, hydroperoxido, and alkylperoxido intermediates.

The reactions of the iron complexes [(tet a)FeII(OTf)2] and [(tet b)FeII](OTf)2 (tet = 5,5,7,12,12,14‐hexamethyl‐1,4,8,11‐tetraazacyclotetradecane) with dioxygen were investigated.
