HSP70 governs permeability and mechanotransduction in primary human endothelial cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
HSP70 chemical inhibition reduces endothelial cell proliferation and increases permeability, the latter supported by normal interendothelial junctional protein distribution. HSP70 also plays a role in shear stress response, a hemodynamic force naturally present in blood vessels and correlated with vessel protection.

Effectiveness of cellulose polyanionic-based polymers on the measurement of rheological properties of water-based drilling fluids in high-pressure high-temperature fractured shale reservoirs

open access: yesApplied Water Science, 2022
High-pressure, high-temperature fractured shale reservoirs are types of unconventional reservoirs that need proper drilling operations for adequate efficiency.

Antibiofilm activity of a chionodracine‐derived peptide by NMR‐based metabolomics of cell‐free supernatant of Acinetobacter baumannii clinical strains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KHS‐Cnd peptide is able to impair biofilm formation and disaggregate mature biofilms in Acinetobacter baumannii clinical isolates. Differences in extracellular metabolites reflect changes in biofilm metabolism due to KHS‐Cnd treatment. Among the differentially represented extracellular metabolites upon KHS‐Cnd treatment, the significantly altered ...

The role of atrial natriuretic peptide to attenuate inflammation in a mouse skin wound and individually perfused rat mesenteric microvessels. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We tested the hypothesis that the anti-inflammatory actions of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) result from the modulation of leukocyte adhesion to inflamed endothelium and not solely ANP ligation of endothelial receptors to stabilize endothelial barrier

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

Research and test for shut-in after fracturing of volume fracturing technology in Sulige low pressure tight gas

open access: yesNatural Gas Industry B, 2022
Shut-in after fracturing has become an important supporting technology for volume fracturing in unconventional oil and gas wells, which is helpful for gas and water imbibition replacement to increase single well production.

Perfect absorption and giant magnification with a thin metamaterial layer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
It is shown that perfect absorption and giant amplification can be realized when a wave impinges on a special metamaterial layer with zero real parts of the permittivity and permeability.

Anticancer sensitivities and biological characteristics of HCT116 cells resistant to the selective poly(ADP‐ribose) glycohydrolase inhibitor

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We analyzed alterations of PAR metabolism‐related proteins in PARG inhibitor‐resistant HCT116RPDD cells. Although PARG levels remained unchanged, HCT116RPDD cells exhibited reduced PARP1 and ARH3 expression and elevated PAR levels. Interestingly, HCT116RPDD cells exhibited slightly elevated intracellular NAD+/NADH and ATP levels. Our findings suggest a

Deposition of Yanchang Formation deep-water sandstone under the control of tectonic events in the Ordos Basin

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2013
A large area of deep-water sandstone was formed under the combined action of delta and gravity flow in the central Ordos Basin during the depositional period of the Ch6 and Ch7 oil-bearing formations of the Yanchang Formation. According to U-Pb dating of

New Online Shunt Acidification for Water Injection Increasing Technology and Its Application in Huanjiang Oilfield

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2021
The poor physical property and strong heterogeneity of Triassic Yanchang formation in Huanjiang oilfield of Ordos Basin are the main reasons for uneven water absorption, partial injection wells underinjection at high pressure, and decline of production ...
