Permission versus permissive marketing [PDF]

open access: yesInteractive Marketing, 2001
About four years ago Seth Godin coined the phrase ‘permission marketing’. It was an attempt to provide a handy catchphrase to describe a new marketing ideology, and resulted in a best-selling book and a new career for Seth as a public speaker. Unfortunately most of the folks who read the book and heard the speeches just got it wrong.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

A protocol for permissive weight-bearing during allied health therapy in surgically treated fractures of the pelvis and lower extremities

open access: yesJournal of Rehabilitation Medicine, 2019
Objective: To optimize rapid clinical recovery and restoration of function and functionality, permissive weight-bearing has been designed as a new aftercare mobilization regimen, within the upper boundary of the therapeutic bandwidth, yet safe enough to ...

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Explanation and Distinction of the Legal Nature of Permission as a Basis for Permissibility and Permission as a Basis for Agency (Permission as the Source of Permissibility and Permission as the Source of Agency)

open access: yesمطالعات فقه و حقوق اسلامی
Permission (''Idhn'') is a frequently used concept in the jurisprudential and legal systems of Iran. Identifying and explaining the legal nature of permission is the first step toward analyzing this legal concept, as well as the different areas in which it plays a role.

Permissive Metaepistemology [PDF]

open access: yesMind, 2018
AbstractRecent objections to epistemic permissivism have a metaepistemic flavor. Impermissivists argue that their view best accounts for connections between rationality, planning and deference. Impermissivism is also taken to best explain the value of rational belief and normative assessment.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Student learning with permissive and restrictive cell phone policies: A classroom experiment

open access: yesInternational Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, 2018
Based on Finn and Ledbetter’s (2013; 2014) work regarding classroom technology policies, this experimental study examined the implementation of a permissive and a restrictive cellular phone policy in two sections of a public speaking course, and the ...
