PhoGAD: Graph-based Anomaly Behavior Detection with Persistent Homology Optimization [PDF]
A multitude of toxic online behaviors, ranging from network attacks to anonymous traffic and spam, have severely disrupted the smooth operation of networks.

Euler Integration of Gaussian Random Fields and Persistent Homology
In this paper we extend the notion of the Euler characteristic to persistent homology and give the relationship between the Euler integral of a function and the Euler characteristic of the function's persistent homology.

Implementation of Persistent Homology in Survival Analysis for Correlated and Longitudinal Data: A case study of COVID-19 Spread in Indonesia [PDF]
Most survival models assume no autocorrelation between objects and time-independence. However, in many cases of disease spread, an object can potentially affect its neighbors, and the feature may change over time.

Persistent homology of collider observations: When (w)hole matters
Topological invariants have played a fundamental role in the advancement of theoretical high energy physics. Physicists have used several kinematic techniques to distinguish new physics predictions from the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics at ...

Characterising epithelial tissues using persistent entropy [PDF]
In this paper, we apply persistent entropy, a novel topological statis- tic, for characterization of images of epithelial tissues. We have found out that persistent entropy is able to summarize topological and geomet- ric information encoded by ...

Multiparameter persistent homology landscapes identify immune cell spatial patterns in tumors
Significance Quantifying and comparing complex spatial biological datasets is crucial for medical applications and remains an active area of research. As datasets become more heterogeneous and complicated, so must the methods that are used to understand ...

Parametrized homology via zigzag persistence [PDF]
This paper develops the idea of homology for 1-parameter families of topological spaces. We express parametrized homology as a collection of real intervals with each corresponding to a homological feature supported over that interval or, equivalently, as a persistence diagram.

Current researches on default mode network (DMN) in normal elderly have mainly focused on finding some dysfunctional areas with decreased or increased connectivity. The global network dynamics of apolipoprotein E (APOE) e4 allele group is rarely studied.
