One-Dimensional Reduction of Multidimensional Persistent Homology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A recent result on size functions is extended to higher homology modules: the persistent homology based on a multidimensional measuring function is reduced to a 1-dimensional one. This leads to a stable distance for multidimensional persistent homology.

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

Kunneth formuale in persistent homology

open access: yes, 2019
The classical Kunneth formula in homological algebra provides a link between the homology of a product space and that of its factors. We will show in this talk a collection of similar results for persistent homology.

Encyclopedia of 2D β′‐In2Se3 Growth Using Chemical Vapor Deposition: The Effects of Synthesis Parameters Onto Material Quality

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A distinct semi‐confined inner‐tube chemical vapor deposition geometry enables reproducible, large‐area growth of phase‐pure 2D β′‐In2Se3 from InI + Se precursors. Engineering local vapor transport and optimizing precursor delivery and temperature–time conditions yield uniform continuous films.

Persistent Homology: Introduction and examples

open access: yes, 2023
This talk served as an introduction to the subject of persistent homology. Throughout, the talk several examples of the use of persistent homology are given and particular emphasis is placed on the paper Clique topology reveals intrinsic geometric ...

Spatiotemporal Drug Delivery via a Neonatal Spinal Cord ECM Hydrogel for Biomimetic Microenvironment Remodeling After Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A biomimetic hydrogel derived from neonatal spinal cord ECM (DNSCM) delivers LAMB2 protein and ISP peptide to remodel the inhibitory injury microenvironment. The system sustains drug release, upregulates pro‐regenerative LAMB2, downregulates inhibitory CSPG, and promotes axonal regeneration.

Stratifying Multiparameter persistent homology (joint work with H. Harrington, N. Otter, U.Tillmann).

open access: yes, 2019
A fundamental tool in topological data analysis is persistent homology, which allows extraction of information from complex datasets in a robust way. Persistent homology assigns a module over a principal ideal domain to a one-parameter family of spaces ...

A review of some properties of persistent homology

open access: yes, 2023
Every day, enormous complex geometric data are accumulating rapidly, and qualitative analysis is needed, which cannot be done properly without studying the shapes of those data.

Persistent Homology -- a Survey

open access: yes, 2008
Persistent homology is an algebraic tool for measuring topological features of shapes and functions. It casts the multi-scale organization we frequently observe in nature into a mathematical formalism.
