#262 : Clinical Outcomes of Embryo Transfer After micro-RNA Based Endometrial Receptivity Analysis (MIRA)

open access: yesFertility & Reproduction, 2023
Background and Aims: To date, more than 2,500 micro-RNAs (miRNAs) have been discovered and some of which are considered to play important roles in window of implantation (WOI). In this study, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy of a miRNA-based endometrial

A Novel Pak1 Activator Ameliorates ER Stress for HFpEF Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chronic metabolic stress is a major contributor to HFpEF progression. Under prolonged metabolic stress, Pak1 activity becomes impaired, contributing to disrupted ER proteostasis, cardiomyocyte apoptosis, fibrosis, and diastolic dysfunction. Mechanistically, Pak1 overexpression activates the ERK1/2–MNK1–eIF4E signaling axis, promotes translational ...

Pinopode versus endometrial receptivity analysis for personalized embryo transfer in recurrent implantation failure

open access: yesReproductive BioMedicine Online
Does pinopode detection or endometrial receptivity analysis (ERA) improve personalized embryo transfer (PET) outcomes in patients with recurrent implantation failure (RIF) more effectively? This retrospective study analysed 488 patients with RIF: 222 underwent pinopode detection, 81 underwent ERA and 185 served as controls without any testing ...

A Rare De Novo Missense Mutation in IFT122 Confers a Genetic Susceptibility Factor of Idiopathic Pediatric Uveitis Via Trio‐based Whole‐Exome Sequencing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rare de novo IFT122‐A773E variant is identified in idiopathic pediatric uveitis and shown to exacerbate retinal inflammation and barrier dysfunction. Mechanistically, the variant enhances IFT43 interaction, elevates calcium signaling, and activates the MEK/ERK/FRA1 axis, revealing a previously unrecognized cilia‐associated pathway that may increase ...

Transcription Factor HOXC11 Drives Colorectal Cancer Progression and Metastasis via CAMK2A‐Dependent CXCL5 Upregulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HOXC11 drives colorectal cancer progression by transcriptionally activating CAMK2A, which triggers NF‐κB–dependent CXCL5 upregulation. CXCL5–CXCR2 signaling further reinforces HOXC11 expression through the ERK1/2–SP1 axis, forming a prometastatic positive feedback loop that is effectively disrupted by combined CAMK2A and CXCR2 inhibition.

Embryo transfer: past, present, future – a personal perspective

open access: yesAnimal Reproduction
Embryo transfer is just one of a range of assisted reproductive technologies - often the last one in a sequence of others - that has revolutionised the cattle breeding industry. The number of in vitro-produced embryos transferred annually now surpasses the number derived by traditional superovulation by a factor of four.

Programmable Paracrine‐Mimetic Microneedle System for Temporal Regulation of Cardiac Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temporal signaling is encoded into a programmable paracrine‐mimetic microneedle patch via tris(2,2'‐bipyridyl)dichlororuthenium(II) hexahydrate/sodium persulfate‐tuned hydrogel microparticles that deliver TGF‐β, IGF‐1, and VEGF over phase‐matched 7‐, 14‐, and 28‐day windows.

An Injectable ROS‐Responsive Nanozyme Hydrogel Regulates the Uterine Microenvironment to Prevent Intrauterine Adhesions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The injectable CeTA@GPP hydrogel is administered via intrauterine injection, forming a protective barrier. In the high ROS inflammatory microenvironment of injured endometrium, boronate ester cleavage triggers responsive CeTA release and local enrichment.
