π‐Extended Chiral Molecular Triangular Prisms Exhibiting Boosted Circularly Polarized Luminescence Upon Self‐Assembly

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
A pair of π‐extended chiral triangular prisms based on pyromellitic diimide is synthesized from enantiopure macrocyclic precursors. They exhibit orange fluorescence and solvent‐dependent self‐assembly, enabling chiroptical inversion and amplification with |glum| values up to 1.15 × 10−2. Single‐crystal structures reveal solvent‐controlled conformations

Ion‐Pairing and Counterion Effects in Contemporary Photochemistry

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie Novit, Volume 2, Issue 2, June 2026.
Ion‐pairing and counterion effects have emerged as fundamental yet underexplored determinants of photochemical behavior. Far from inert, counterions, and Coulombic interactions modulate excited‐state dynamics, quenching efficiencies, emission, and catalytic pathways.

Predicting Perylene Morphology Using Molecular Dynamics

open access: yes, 2016
Perylene molecules could be used to make inexpensive solar panels if these flat molecules can be arranged into ordered structures. In this work we investigate how the distribution of electrical charges on perylene molecules influence how they self ...

Atmospheric Deposition of Organic Pollutants: A Comprehensive Review of Sampling and Analytical Methodologies

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 7, Issue 1, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Atmospheric deposition of organic pollutants plays a crucial role in the transport and fate of contaminants in the environment, with implications for ecosystem health and human exposure. Persistent organic pollutants (POPs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and microplastics are increasingly recognized as transboundary threats due to ...

Atomic‐Level Insight of Carbon‐Based Anodes for Advanced Sodium Storage: Electrochemical Mechanisms and Molecular Simulation‐Assisted Modification

open access: yescMat, Volume 3, Issue 2, June 2026.
Hard carbon is a promising anode for sodium‐ion batteries, yet its Na+ storage mechanism remains elusive. This review summarizes Na+ storage behavior in hard carbon from first‐principles (DFT) calculations, establishes structure–function relationships, summarizes DFT‐based evaluation methods, and provides perspectives for the rational theoretical ...

Photophysics of a Tetraazaperylene Ligand and Its Heteroleptic Cu(I) Complex

open access: yesChemPhotoChem, Volume 10, Issue 6, June 2026.
π‐Extension with the tape ligand strongly red‐shifts the metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer transition of Cu(I) diimine‐diphosphine complexes far into the visible, enabling one of the most bathochromic absorptions reported for this class. The synthesis and characterization of Cutape, a heteroleptic Cu(I) complex featuring a π‐extended tetraazaperylene ...
