7‐Ketodeoxycholic Acid Promotes Colonic Mucosal Healing by Inducing Calcium Release from Endoplasmic Reticulum via the TGR5‐IP3R Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
7‐KDCA functions by driving intestinal epithelial cell migration through induction of calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum. The findings emphasize a previously unrecognized property of 7‐KDCA in regulating cell migration, a required process for effective epithelial restitution and repair that is particularly critical for patients with UC to ...

Inhaling Eugenol Inhibits NAFLD by Activating the Hepatic Ectopic Olfactory Receptor Olfr544 and Modulating the Gut Microbiota

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inhalable eugenol (EUG) from clove oil attenuates NAFLD by activating hepatic olfactory receptor Olfr544, triggering cAMP/PKA/CREB signaling to enhance lipolysis/oxidation. EUG concurrently restores gut microbiota, enriching probiotics (L. reuteri XR23/L. johnsonii XR25) and metabolites (IPA/5‐HIAA) that suppress lipogenesis.

Steric‐Adaptive Biocatalysis: Imine Reductase‐Mediated Dynamic Kinetic Resolution for Atroposelective Synthesis of Hindered Biaryl Amines

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An unusual IRED platform is reported, enabling efficient DKR via reductive amination without any evolutionary engineering. The system accommodates extremely sterically demanding substrates, including naphthyl and quinoline derivatives, delivering naphthyl‐aryl and quinoline‐aryl amine atropisomers with excellent efficiency and stereocontrol (over 80 ...
