Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Phase control of a longitudinal momentum entangled photon state by a deformable membrane mirror
We propose a paradigmatic demonstration of the potentialities of a deformable mirror for closed-loop control of a two-photon momentum-entangled state, subject to phase fluctuations.

Controlled wide-range quadrature phase-shift network
A system is described which produces a 90° phase shift for a wide range of single-frequency input signals. Thus, whilst it will not handle wideband input signals, it may be useful for such applications as N-path and quadrature modulation filters where the provision of variable-frequency quadrature carrier signals allows the position of the passband to ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

A Control Allocation System for Automatic Detection and Compensation of Phase Shift Due to Actuator Rate Limiting [PDF]
This paper proposes a control allocation system that can detect and compensate the phase shift between the desired and the actual total control effort due to rate limiting of the actuators.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Phase-Shift Control for Enhancing Misalignment Tolerance in UCA-Based OAM-MIMO Systems
This paper presents a novel approach for achieving high-capacity transmission utilizing sub-terahertz (THz) radio orbital angular momentum (OAM) multiplexing, specifically in scenarios where the radio link is susceptible to antenna misalignment. We focus

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
