Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Vanishing singularity in hard impacting systems

open access: yes, 2011
It is known that the Jacobian of the discrete-time map of an impact oscillator in the neighborhood of a grazing orbit depends on the square-root of the distance the mass would have gone beyond the position of the wall if the wall were not there.

Magnetism near the Van Hove singularity

open access: yes, 1998
We study the phase diagrams of the s-band and d-band Hubbard model in two dimensions including electron correlations. While the ferromagnetic instability in the s-band case occurs only near the Van Hove singularity, ferromagnetism is more stable in the d-

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

A Singularity Point Degradation Four Directions Least-square Algorithm for InSAR Phase Unwrapping

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2009
:Phase unwrapping is the key step of InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) imaging, and how to process phase singularity points (SPs) effectively is very difficult problem in phase unwrapping.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Pressure Drop of Two-Phase Flow Through Horizontal Channel with Smooth Expansion

open access: yes, 2012
Industrial systems at where gas-liquid flow is extensively used generally have complex geometries including singularities like expansion, contraction, bends and orifices.
