Generalized inflation and confinement phase transitions in the early universe

Giving up the restriction e/p=const, we show that equations of state with e−3p=Δ>0 will be driven to the inflationary solution with e=−p after sufficiently long times. Subsequently, we show that confinement transitions may provide such an equation of state due to a change of degrees of freedom.

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Phase Transition in the Early Universe and Charge Quantisation

It is shown, for the first time , that surprisingly the electric charge loses all physical meaning above the electro-weak phase transition temperature. Implications of this discovery in the context of the early universe within the framework of various unified models are discussed.
