The bubble wall velocity in local thermal equilibrium and energy budget with full effective potential

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We develop a framework based on the full one-loop finite-temperature effective potential model, within which the bubble wall velocity is calculated using the local thermal equilibrium (LTE) approximation, and the kinetic energy fraction K is computed ...

Intrapatient tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution in an autopsy study of metastatic salivary gland cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution of metastatic salivary gland cancer were evaluated in two patients with adenoid carcinoma and one patient with myoepithelial carcinoma. Radiology‐guided autopsy enabled multi‐region sampling (total samples n = 149), followed by whole‐genome sequencing and phylogenetic reconstruction (17 tumour samples, 4–7 per ...

Enhancing phase transition calculations with fitting and neural network

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The computation of bounce action in a phase transition involves solving partial differential equations and may introduce numerical uncertainties. Deriving characteristic temperatures and transition parameters often involves differentiating or integrating

Phase Transitions in the Early Universe and Defect Formation

open access: yes, 2003
In the first one of these two lectures, I give an introductory review of phase transitions in finite temperature field theories. I highlight the differences between theories with global and local symmetries, and the similarities between cosmological phase transitions and phase transitions in superconductors.

The quark-hadron phase transition in the early universe

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1982
By using perturbative QCD with bag corrections for quark-gluon plasma and a resonance gas model for hadronic matter, we study the effect of the phase transition on the cooling rate of the early universe.

Automated FRAP microscopy for high‐throughput analysis of protein dynamics in chromatin organization and transcription

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoboMic is an automated confocal microscopy pipeline for high‐throughput functional imaging in living cells. Demonstrated with fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), it integrates AI‐driven nuclear segmentation, ROI selection, bleaching, and analysis.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

A model for inflaton induced baryogenesis and its phenomenological consequences

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
In this study, we introduce a novel approach aimed at addressing the longstanding baryon-anti-baryon asymmetry conundrum. Our proposed mechanism suggests that baryon numbers were generated during the inflationary epoch through the dynamics of the ...

Identifying gene expression signatures for risk stratification of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in colorectal cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A novel signature integrating genome‐wide analysis with clinical factors predicts recurrence in stage II colorectal cancer and enables a new risk stratification to guide postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. Clinical risk stratification for postoperative recurrence in patients with pathological stage II (pStage II) colorectal cancer (CRC) is essential ...

Probing thermal leptogenesis and dark matter through primordial gravitational waves from a supercooled universe

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We explore the cosmological dynamics of a supercooled first-order phase transition in the classically conformal U(1) B−L extension of the Standard Model, where radiative symmetry breaking simultaneously generates the right-handed neutrino (RHN) masses ...
