Porous Phenazine‐bridged Tetraoxa[8]Circulenes for Selective Gold Recovery and Heterogeneous Catalysis

Gold recycling from electronic waste using porous materials is an emerging concept to reduce the environmental impact of gold mining. In this work, we report the synthesis of a highly porous phenazine‐derived tetraoxa[8]circulene polymer and its utilization in gold capture and heterogeneous catalysis.

Two unique structures were isolated from the phosphorylation reaction of 10H-phenothiazine. The 5,5-dimethyl-2-(10H-phenothiazin-10-yl)-1,3,2-dioxaphosphinane 2-oxide (2a) illustrates the product of N-phosphorylation of phenothiazine.

Enhanced Energy Transfer from a Metal–Organic Framework to a Highly Confined Organic Phosphorescent Dye

A phosphorescent dye was designed to fit in a hand‐to‐glove fashion into the 1D‐pore channels of MIL‐68(In). We synthesized MIL‐68(In) as powder and thin films, loaded the dye into the pores with controlled packing, and found that the phosphorescence and quantum yield are enhanced.
