ESTIMATINON GENOTYPIC PHENOTYPIC VARIANCES FOR BARLEY GENOTYPES [PDF]

open access: yesMesopotamia Journal of Agriculture, 2013
Twenty four genotype of barley were used in addition to the local variety (black barley), according to random complete block design (R.C.B.D.) with three replications under the rainfed conditions of northern area of Iraq. The characters were studied.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Genetic variability, correlation and path coefficient for grain yield and quantitative traits of elite rice (Oryza sativa L.) genotypes at Uttar Pradesh [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2015
Studies on genetic variability, correlation and path coefficient analysis were conducted on 30 elite rice (Oryza sativa L.) genotypes. Analysis of variance among 30 genotypes showed significant difference for all characters studied.

Trends in Genetic and Phenotypic Variances for Milk Production

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1985
Abstract Residual standard deviations estimated separately for each year of first freshening from first lactation milk records of artificially sired Holstein cows increased from 1960 to 1982, especially after 1976. The pattern on the square root scale was similar.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Genetic and Environmental Contribution to Social Dominance Orientation and its Overlap with HEXACO Personality Traits: A Twin Study

open access: yesPsychological Topics, 2021
Social dominance orientation (SDO), i.e. the preference toward egalitarian or hierarchically arranged relations within a society may be studied from social/contextual, but also dispositional perspective.
